Fare is a creative studio reimagining conscious modern marketing for earth-connected brands
Our values
Creativity
We don’t just want more of it, we want new kinds of it; not just in our work, but in our lives. Creativity that offers us new ways of being of purpose, but also in play - in the kitchen, with our friends, in the world.
Reverence
Treating a contract, a dinner party, a social post, a mug of matcha, anything and everything with reverence is a living act of alignment. Holding all things with a deserved holiness is our way of staying in right relationship with our bodies, our communities and our earth.
NOURISHMENT
Our every thought, intention and action either flows into fullness or emptiness; it brings to or takes away from mind, body and spirit. We aim to nourish into fullness starting with our own beings, our clients, our community and our earth so that we all know a greater collective goodness.
SPACIOUSNESS
When we live and breathe with respect for margins, for white space, for sacred spaciousness, we give ourselves the opportunity to truly rest, recharge and offer up quality work born from a slower, more sustainable cadence.
Connection
There is an unbreakable tie between all things, so connection, to us, is about honoring that singular bond. Everything from what is in the soil to what is on our phones, what is in our conversations to what is in our minds lives in the same bowl and needs holistic attention and acknowledgment for real connection to exist.
Meet Amy, our Founder
I was that kid.
The one who raced home after school to turn on the Food Network instead of the Cartoon Network, who cozied up to watch Ina Garten on a Sunday afternoon with a huge bowl of salad, who couldn’t have been given a better chore than to do the grocery shopping, who considered what our family called “free dinner” a creative assignment from the kitchen gods, who answered “What do you want to be when you grow up?” with the inevitable, “Chef!”
Some of this was just in me from the start.
My bi-coastal mother, a crunchy vegetable lover with lentils forever simmering on her stove, and mid-western father, a living atlas that blared Johnny Cash while we cooked up a storm and clicked forks in communal toast at midnight, were deep influences.
But I had some sort of innate whisper in me that was more than just passed down.
As a kid, I took notes on recipes, watched every episode of Chopped, recorded everything I could and took up shop in the kitchen every chance I got, but as I got older, I worked in restaurants, cooked in restaurants, ate at restaurants, practically lived in restaurants. After studying marketing in college and once Instagram became a thing, I started inventing, writing and sharing my own holistic recipes before wondering how what came so naturally to me could serve others.
At one time I would’ve said all my love centered around food, and I wouldn’t have been wrong.
Put me in the kitchen and I light up.
But at a certain point, I wondered why.
Why food?
I had to dig for the answer within myself.
What I found is that what gives me life isn’t just the end product of what’s put on a table, but everything it took to get there.
The earth offers its body to harvest everything our body needs in brilliant shades, shapes and sizes invented by the soil. Then we - these brief spectacular beings - get to chop, blanche, baste, fry, bake its sustenance and be together while we feast. The earth gives us this complete circle that brings us back to each other.
It connects us.
That’s what it is for me, and it’s what makes marketing such a significant calling to me.
No matter what industry you’re in or what you’re trying to sell, you can’t do it without connection. It’s an innate craving we all have, the very thing we’re all reaching for.
It’s what gives our lives meaning and what I’ve seen run like a steel thread through my own.
Food was my symbol for my soul’s longing.
To be connected.
To everything.
